West Gippsland Progress Association

WGPA Past Chair Barry Crees gives an overview of the projects that are currently being undertaken.

Food & Tourism Strategy

West Gippsland Progress Association undertook several 'Food & Tourism' community-led workshops in late 2020 and identified a need to develop a Food & Tourism Strategy for the 'West Gippsland' area.

Working in partnership with the Cardinia Shire Council, WGPA engaged Tourism Recreation Conversation Consultants (TRC Tourism) to undertake a 12-week consultation to deliver a three-year West Gippsland Food & Tourism Strategy.

WPGA Regenerative Agriculture

Regenerative Agriculture

West Gippsland Progress Association is looking to build a sustainable future for the region. Regenerative Agriculture is a focus for WGPA.

We want to develop a food point of difference for West Gippsland with Regenerative Agriculture, caring farming and food systems and nutrition-dense and ethically produced food.

A working group has been set up to determine the best approach to strengthen long-term regenerative agriculture for the area.

WGPA has appointed industry expert Inspire Ag Solutions to develop a three-year regenerative action plan built around the input of the 'working group' findings.
